Avoid putting coffee grounds down your sink as they accumulate in pipes creating stubborn clogs over time. Unlike other food waste grounds don’t dissolve in water and instead form a thick sludge when mixed with grease. Even with a garbage disposal grounds pass through and settle in the drain line. Compost grounds instead or toss them in the trash. If grounds have caused slow drainage flush pipes with hot water and use an enzyme cleaner.
