A clogged kitchen sink with a garbage disposal requires checking both the disposal and the drain line. Press the reset button underneath the disposal and use the Allen wrench to free the grinding plate. If water backs up into the other sink basin the clog is in the shared drain line. Use a plunger on the clogged side while blocking the other drain. A drain snake through the wall pipe clears deeper blockages.
