When cold water works but hot water doesn’t the issue lies with your water heater. Check the pilot light on gas heaters and relight if needed. Electric heaters may have a tripped breaker or blown fuse. Test the reset button on the upper thermostat of electric models. A faulty thermostat heating element or gas control valve may need replacement. If the tank is old and leaking replacement is likely the best solution.
