Join PVC pipes using solvent cement welding for permanent connections. Clean both the pipe end and fitting socket with PVC primer. Apply PVC cement to both surfaces then immediately push the pipe into the fitting with a quarter turn. Hold for 30 seconds to prevent pushback. Allow the joint to cure for 2 hours before pressurizing. For temporary or removable connections use threaded fittings with Teflon tape. Use the correct cement type matching your pipe schedule.
