Noisy pipes when water is running can indicate high water pressure loose pipe strapping or water hammer. Whistling sounds suggest a partially closed valve or worn washer. Rattling means pipes aren’t properly secured to framing. Reduce water pressure to below 80 PSI using a pressure reducing valve. Install water hammer arrestors near noisy fixtures. Secure loose pipes with pipe straps or foam insulation. If pipes bang when faucets close quickly replace faucet washers.
