A well pump pressure switch controls when the pump turns on and off based on water pressure. Signs of failure include the pump running constantly not starting or short cycling. Turn off power before replacing. Disconnect wiring noting wire positions then remove the old switch from the pressure tank fitting. Install the new switch set cut-in and cut-out pressures typically 30 to 50 PSI and reconnect wires. Test the system before restoring normal operation.
