Thaw frozen pipes safely using a hair dryer heat lamp or portable space heater directed at the frozen section. Open the faucet to allow water to flow as ice melts. Start heating from the faucet end working toward the frozen area. Never use an open flame or torch which can damage pipes and cause fires. Wrap pipes with electric heat tape for gradual thawing. Prevent future freezing by insulating exposed pipes and keeping cabinet doors open during cold weather.
