Why Fridge Leaks Water

A refrigerator leaking water is commonly caused by a clogged defrost drain blocked by ice or food debris. Clear the drain hole at the back of the fridge compartment with warm water. A cracked or overflowing drain pan underneath the unit can also leak. Check the water supply line to the ice maker for loose connections. A damaged door gasket lets warm air in creating condensation. Ensure the fridge is level so water flows properly toward the drain.
